Tami Jean got a Ring!

Jeff proposed to Tami Jean this past weekend!!! They plan to wait until after Jeff graduates so it will be a year or two, but it's still very exciting! These are a few photos of them on our Vegas trip last December. I'll post more when I can! Tami's email is Tami_Lacina@yahoo.com for those of you who want to congratulate her! It won't be Lacina much longer! :)

Take me out to the ballgame...

We decided to change it up a bit and instead of going to another Padres game, we went up to Anaheim to the Angels Stadium to watch the Angels play the Seattle Mariners.

It got a bit chilly - I had three layers on!

The boys were both a bit upset that their team was getting spanked for the first seven innings.

Priming up before the game... they look like trouble, don't they? :)

Cedar Falls Hike

We hiked this past weekend to Cedar Falls... a 100 foot waterfall that collects in a basin at the bottom of the Cayamaca Mountains near Julian, CA. We actually even saw some kids jumping into the pool at the bottom. It was about a 4.5 mile hike roundtrip to the lower falls, but we went to the top of the waterfall instead. It was a pretty dicey trail at times, but very cool. The photos just don't do it justice.

2007 Carlsbad 5000

OK, so we're lame and we jogged the whole race side-by-side, but we like to keep each other company while we run. I wish we had photos of the Invitational 5K with the Kenyans, Ethiopians and other international Olympian runners. They are incredible. They look like gazelles without an ounce of body fat and they run the 1st two miles faster than we ran our first mile!
You can see us chit chatting and lolly-gagging in the first shot. My official Carlsbad 5K race T-shirt is a bit big, but at least I wore mine.
Coming around the bend on the last stretch, we picked it up for a strong finish.

Crossing the finish line...
