More Hawaii Pics

The Pearl Harbor Memorial sits above the sunken USS Arizona - the tomb for 1,777 men.
Parts of the sunken ship are easily seen above the water.

View from the USS Arizona Memorial.

It's so incredible to see parts of the ship underneath the memorial. You can see the hull, the stern and basically the whole top deck of the ship sitting about six feet under water. Oil still spills out of the ship causing a pollution issue. They don't know how to address the oil spills without harming the memorial and the graves of so many men.

The famous Banzai Pipeline...home of 50 foot waves. We were there in the off-season. They were only about 10 feet.

The first blue STOP sign either of us have ever seen, and we saw them all over the island! Apparently, if the government won't issue a STOP sign, you have to get your own and it can't be red. We don't know if you can get a ticket for not stopping at a blue STOP sign.
